Ai Engineer

Project Overview

• Agentic AI initiative supporting both internal and external users.
• External-facing solution is in the pilot phase and targeted for production deployment within the next year.
• Internal solution is in the discovery phase with plans to move to Proof of Concept (POC).
• Front-end framework has already been developed.
• Seeking a strong AI Engineer/Developer to help move the solution from concept to POC and production.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead AI engineering standards, best practices, and deployments.
• Develop and scale AI agents and intelligent solutions across SaaS and platform-based applications.
• Build solutions within Azure and Microsoft Power Platform environments.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Data, and Business stakeholders.
• Design, develop, deploy, and manage AI-enabled capabilities and agent-based solutions.
• Support AI initiatives ranging from experimentation and point solutions to enterprise-scale platforms.
• Ensure scalability, security, governance, and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience delivering enterprise-scale software, SaaS, or platform solutions.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, or agent-based systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Power Platform.
• Proven success delivering AI solutions from experimentation through production.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, DevOps, and MLOps.
• Experience building AI agents, copilots, or autonomous workflows at enterprise scale.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, governance, monitoring, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience working in global, matrixed organizations.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hanover, MD.

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
