Position Overview: Madison International Realty is looking for a Data & AI Engineer to help build the next generation of the Company’s technology platform. This is a hands-on engineering role at the intersection of data, AI, software development, automation, and enterprise technology. This role will work directly with technology leadership to design and build solutions that have a visible impact across the firm. This could include developing Microsoft Fabric data pipelines, integrating platforms through APIs, building internal Python applications, automating manual workflows, or transforming AI prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions. Madison is looking for a builder: an individual who is capable of taking an idea or business problem and finding the solution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, enhance, and maintain the firm’s Microsoft Fabric data platform.
• Develop and manage data pipelines, lakehouses, data transformations, and analytical datasets.
• Design and implement APIs and system integrations connecting internal and external platforms.
• Develop internal applications, tools, and workflow automations using Python and SQL.
• Build practical AI- and LLM-powered applications leveraging company data, systems, and business processes.
• Evaluate and implement emerging AI capabilities, including AI agents, document intelligence, retrieval solutions, and workflow automation.
• Develop reliable and scalable integrations across the firm’s Microsoft and cloud-based technology environment.
• Utilize GitHub and CI/CD practices to manage code and transition solutions effectively from development through production.
• Enhance the reliability, security, monitoring, performance, and documentation of the firm’s data and development infrastructure.
• Contribute across the full solution lifecycle, from concept and architecture through development, deployment, and continuous improvement.

Qualified Candidates Must Possess:

• Demonstrated technical foundation with the ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and development practices.
• Experience with several of the following technologies and disciplines: Python, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure, REST APIs, GitHub, Power BI, data engineering, AI/LLMs, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with PySpark, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Functions, Docker, data governance, machine learning, or enterprise system integrations is preferred but not required.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex or ambiguous business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Ability to design and build solutions with consideration for security, scalability, maintainability, reliability, and production readiness.
• Ability to work across multiple technical domains, including data engineering, software development, APIs, AI, automation, and enterprise systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A curious, resourceful, and solutions-oriented mindset, with the initiative to independently research and solve unfamiliar technical challenges.
