Software Engineer lll, AI Developer Tools Platform

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Experience in developing and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience with software architecture, system design, backend.

We are looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about delivering Generative AI technologies to Cloud customers. In this role, you will be working closely with researchers, engineers, and product managers from both Google Cloud AI and Google Research, developing challenging machine learning solutions that will contribute directly to Google's product excellence. You will develop features that integrate the next generation large language model with balanced trade-off between performance and deployment constraints.

The Google Cloud AI Research team addresses AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud’s mission of bringing AI to tech, healthcare, finance, retail and many other industries. We work on a range of unique problems focused on research topics that maximize scientific and real-world impact, aiming to push the state-of-the-art in AI and share findings with the broader research community. We also collaborate with product teams to bring innovations to real-world impact that benefits our customers.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with our customers including Antigravity, Gemini Code Assist, Gemini CLI, Android Studio, and others to address their needs and requirements.
• Design and implement the AI Developer Tools Platform and related services under the Gemini Enterprise umbrella, collaborating closely with other teams and functions across Cloud AI and beyond.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, applying innovative AI techniques to increase productivity.
