We are looking for an AI Engineer located in St. John's, Newfoundland.
This is an office-based role. Must be available to work onsite full time at the St. John's, Newfoundland office.

You can manage requirements elicitation activities with a variety of stakeholders and manage a workload that involves tasks from concurrently running initiatives.
You have 5-10 years of professional experience in AI/Software Engineering projects, proficiency with REACT, Javascript, Python, NodeJS or GO. You have experience with AWS and cloud-based services as well as experience working with LLMS. You have familiarity with SQL databases and using AI tools such as Cursor or Claude Code. You understand basic DevOps practices, CI/CD and version control (Git) and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. You demonstrate analytical ability and have great problem-solving skills.
As an AI Engineer, you will develop and maintain AI and machine learning applications. You will collaborate with senior engineers to refine models, develop applications and ensure data integrity and optimize pipelines. You will be responsible for coding, researching, and implementing solutions that solve business problems.
Specifically, you will focus on:
AI Software Development - implement enterprise software for our operating companies under the guidance of the Director of Software Engineering
Data Processing - build and maintain data ingestion and preprocessing pipelines
Feature Engineering - identify relevant features and engineer new features to improve AI software performance
Collaboration - work alongside product teams, data scientists, and software engineers to align with business requirements
Documentation - maintain clear documentation of data sources, architecture and analysis steps
