India Data Scientist - II
Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and analytical India Data Scientist - II to support our analytics initiatives by transforming data into actionable insights The India Data Scientist - II supports analytical and modelling efforts by performing data preparation, exploratory analysis, and basic model development under guidance. This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to build strong fundamentals in data science. The ideal candidate will assist in data preparation, analysis, and model development while collaborating with business and technical teams to solve real-world problems using data.
Key Responsibilities
Perform data cleaning, validation, and exploratory data analysis (EDA)
Develop basic statistical and machine learning models with supervision
Write efficient SQL queries to extract and analyze data
Create standard reports, dashboards, and visualizations
Assist in feature engineering and model testing
Document analysis steps and assumptions
Support senior team members in ongoing projects
Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured datasets
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and patterns
Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
Support development of basic statistical and machine learning models
Assist in feature engineering and model evaluation
Translate analytical results into business insights
Create dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI / Tableau / Excel
Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Work closely with business, IT, and senior analytics teams
Document methodologies, assumptions, and outcomes
Support ongoing analytics and automation initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field with 2-4 years of exposure and experience in Data Science workflow.
Technical Skills
Python / R (pandas, NumPy, Sklenar preferred)
SQL for data querying
Power BI / Tableau / Excel for visualization
Basic understanding of statistics and ML concepts
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
Good communication and storytelling with data
Eagerness to learn and adapt
Nice to Have
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
Experience with Git / version control
Familiarity with business domains like Finance & Operations
