Machine Learning Engineer (senior)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning and AI models to power SICPA products and solutions. This role bridges data science research and production engineering, ensuring models are scalable, reliable, and integrated into real-world applications.

Required qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Econometrics, or related field with 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying in production machine learning, deep learning and AI models. PhD is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and statsmodels. Good knowledge of SQL to retrieve and manipulate data effectively.
• Solid knowledge of software engineering best practices and containerisation tools (Docker).
• Solid understanding of statistics, algorithms, and data structures.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and MLOps.
• Good knowledge and experience in computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), and/or AI models (LLMs & multimodal).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
