This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior – AI Engineer, Development in the United States.

This role sits at the core of enterprise AI transformation, focusing on turning experimental, rapidly built agentic solutions into secure, production-ready systems. You will work at the intersection of generative AI, software engineering, and enterprise architecture, taking externally developed prototypes and refactoring them into scalable, governed applications. The position plays a critical role in ensuring that AI agents operate reliably within a highly regulated environment, integrating seamlessly with enterprise data platforms and cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with data and cloud engineering teams to ensure performance, security, and usability at scale. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will define how agentic systems move from experimentation to enterprise-grade deployment. It is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and enjoys bridging rapid AI innovation with disciplined software engineering.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will take ownership of agentic AI systems from external partners and transform them into robust, secure, and scalable enterprise-grade applications.

  • Receive, review, and refactor SI-developed agentic AI codebases into production-ready solutions
  • Redesign and stabilize agent workflows, including state management, memory handling, and reasoning logic
  • Implement strong error handling, retry mechanisms, fallback routing, and resilient workflow orchestration
  • Collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure high-quality data access and with cloud engineers to enable secure deployment
  • Instrument AI systems with telemetry and evaluation metrics, including latency, token usage, reasoning traces, and performance KPIs
  • Enforce enterprise-grade security guardrails, ensuring strict compliance with IAM policies and data access controls
  • Optimize performance across LLM systems, including context window usage, retrieval strategies, embedding pipelines, and cost efficiency
  • Contribute to LLMOps practices such as prompt versioning, evaluation frameworks, tracing, and continuous improvement loops
  • Translate AI product requirements into reliable, testable, and maintainable production code
  • Continuously refactor and improve external or legacy AI implementations for scalability and operational reliability

Requirements:

This role requires a highly skilled AI engineer with strong production software engineering expertise and deep hands-on experience building and operationalizing generative AI systems in enterprise environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate (AI-102) required
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in Python
  • Proven experience building generative AI applications and multi-agent systems using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel
  • Strong understanding of LLMOps practices, including evaluation, tracing, prompt versioning, and monitoring non-deterministic systems
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks) and integrating AI systems into production environments
  • Deep knowledge of RAG architectures, vector databases, and LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
  • Demonstrated ability to refactor external or legacy codebases into production-grade systems
  • Strong understanding of security, guardrails, and enterprise IAM principles for AI systems
  • Excellent collaboration skills with a “bridge” mindset between rapid prototyping and enterprise engineering discipline
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-evolving AI environments and translating experimental systems into stable products

Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary of approximately $205,000
  • Flexible work arrangements supporting work-life balance
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Professional development opportunities in advanced AI and cloud technologies
  • Exposure to cutting-edge generative AI and agentic system development
  • Collaborative, innovation-driven engineering environment
  • Strong focus on flexibility and employee well-being
  • Opportunity to work on enterprise-scale AI transformation initiatives
