We are seeking an algorithm engineer with strong system-design skills to develop state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning algorithms for UMF Lane Fusion in autonomous driving systems. In this role, you will fuse lane lines, road boundaries, and other static road elements across perception sources and time to generate accurate, stable, and semantically rich road representations. The Lane Fusion system must operate with low latency and high availability on a real-time, safety-critical vehicle platform. You will work with cross functional research and development teams in a rapidly paced environment. Your work will ensure that we deliver the most reliable mass market autonomous driving solution.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Research and develop algorithms for 3D laneline geometry using semantic features from 2D model.
  • Address challenges such as missing or fragmented lane lines, occlusions, incorrect associations, forks, merges, intersections, and construction zones.
  • Work closely with camera perception to build a 3D laneline pipeline.
  • Work closely with cross functional team for rapid execution on target platforms.

Skill Requirements:
  • Ph.D in EE, CS or related field with 3 years of experience, or Masters with 5 years full time work experience in algorithms design.
  • Solid 3-5 years of background in photogrammetry, 3D geometry, estimation, non-linear optimization, computer vision.
  • Proficient in developing in C++.
  • Hands on experience in one of the following: 3D reconstruction, noise modeling, lane detection, BEV perception, or online mapping.
  • Experience in machine learning algorithm development and data curation is required.
  • Strong mathematical foundation and signal processing.

What do we provide:
  • A fun, supportive and engaging environment.
  • Infrastructures and computational resources to support your work.
  • Opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies with the top talents in the field.
